The Muskete(e)rs
Musketer Event has its basis in the sports club Njård in Oslo, Norway. Our instructors are active or former fencers at international level with deep knowledge of the sport. Fencing is our passion and we wish that everybody could experience fencing in a professional and exiting context.
Musketer Event As was established in 2009 and since that learnt thousands how to fence. We have about one hundred events in a year and thorough experience with both larger and smaller groups. The company is registered in Brønnøysund and insured for liability in IF.
Sturla Blanck Torkildsen / founding father and leader
Sturla entered the fencing hall in Njårdhallen in 1990 and never came out again. He particepated in the Olympics in Beijing in 2008 and has several medals and titles from World Cups, Nordic championships and Norwegian championships.
Sturla’s dream is that fencing reaches out to the non-fencing people in a wide and professional manner, but he has come to realise that fencing probably not will become a large sport before real lightsabres are invented.
Dan Lundesgaard / founding father and chief operating officer
Dan is an educated instructor in fencing from the Norwegian Fencing Federation and has extensive experience as a practitioner and coach. He became a Norwegian champion in teams with Njård Fekting in 2012. Dan also worked with sports projects targeting disadvantaged children and young people in southern Africa through the organization SCORE.
Dan thrives best when he can demonstrate fencing with a good anecdote. For Dan, the world of fencing is a microkosmos that illustrates the many aspects of life.
Aila E. Sinober
Aila is an actor, stand-up comedian and fencer. She holds most of our birthday parties where she uses all her different talents.
Adam Flåthen / Otthar Andreas Krohn
Adam og O.A. are both university students. Both have fenced since they were young and are both coaches in Njård Fekting.
Arthur Grosse / Bo Dahle
Arthur and Bo are two of the country's best junior fencers. They both go to secondary school. In 2018, Arthur took bronze in NM for seniors and won gold medal with his team: Njård.
